What is Fusion?

It's a two year City Council led initiative that aims to increase participation in physical activity by getting 'More People, More Active, More of the Time'.

Who is Fusion aimed at?

Children and young people living in Newcastle aged 5 to 18 years of age.

What's on offer?

Each of the city council managed leisure centres and swimming pools (and partner facilities) will offer free Fusion activity sessions in term time and school holiday time alongside accompanying paid for sessions.

How can the Fusion sessions be accessed?

Each child and young person aged 5 to 18 years old has the opportunity to fill in a Fusion application form.  These can then be handed in at the leisure centres/swimming pools listed below and the applicant will be issued with their own Fusion activity card.  Production of the card will then allow free entry at any Fusion activity session.

Fusion Launch

Every school in Newcastle will receive an information leaflet and application form ( for every student) for the Fusion card scheme.  This will be followed up by a series of roadshow visits to schools across Newcastle informing students of the Fusion offer.  This will be backed up by articles in the local press, poster information in community locations.

The Fusion Card 

If applicants already have a standard or priority Leisure Plus card or activity card, they can bring that and their application form to the centre, it will be swapped for a new Fusion card which will allow the same benefits and as before!
